I read the two in one, Rotten Romans and Groovy Greeks by Terry Deary. The 270 page book is really funny and gives you a lot of interesting facts. If you want to know why naked girls ran around pretending to be bears or what Roman soldiers wore under their kilts, read this book.

I finished a 371 page book by Carl Hiaasen. Scat (my book) was a "page turner" as the critics would say. I liked this book most because it was a mystery. I know you want to hear more, but you really should read the book. Try to solve the MYSTERY on your own!

The Awful Egyptians, by Terry Deary,is a hilarious book. Although it only has 128 pages it has questions to challenge what you have learned in the chapter. Some of the things you learn are how the Egyptians cured a toothache(YUCK), why did they worship a dung beetle, and much more.

CAMP

Camp was soooo fun. I learned a lot about nature, and survival, and orienteering, and the Miwoks, and..........you get my point. My favorite class was the survival and orienteering. It would be cool if we did normal learning things up there and that was our everyday school. The lunch was great and so was the dinner and the breakfast.

"I say Calvin, you say Crest.... Calvin Crest, GO CAMP!

I just finished the book Skeleton Key that had 324 pages. If anyone likes mass destruction, you will like this book. I won't write a summery because I might give away the ending like I did for The Red Pyramid. I highly recommend this book because of its adventurous ending.

Holes,by Louis Sachar, is a 233 page book. It is about a boy who is framed and goes to a juvenile camp. They have to dig holes all day,for punishment (that's what the leaders say). Stanely the main character thinks they are digging to find something. The camp leader is very suspicious, because the holes have to 5 by 5 and dug over a dried up lake. I like this book because it is adventurous and exiting.

The Red Pyramid, a book by Rick Riordan, has 514 pages. It is about Carter and Sadie who have god's blood. Their dad died while trying to release five trapped gods. When the kids kill an Egyptian god named Set, they find their dad alive hosting the god of the dead.

The character vs. character conflict is between Carter, Sadie, and Set. They fight because Set is holding Sadie and Carter’s dad in the underworld. One of the last battles they had was at the red pyramid. Set is strong so the fight goes on for a long time. The conflict between Carter and Sadie vs. Set is supreme, because Sadie and Carter want their dad back and the only way for that to happen is they have to win the fight.
